[ Beyond these Walls ]

[ Beyond these Walls ]  David Gaulton Album Shoot.

Back in 2008 we photographed up and coming Christian Artist David Gaulton for his album "Righteous King".  We were thrilled when we were asked to photograph him again for his new album "Beyond these Walls".  Here are a few images from the shoot and a couple of final pieces:

[ Riviera Burger Challenge ]

[ Riviera Burger Challenge ] Riviera Magazine.

Shooting for Riviera Magazine is always a great experience for us.  We often get out to some of the best events in Orange County when we photograph for the "Scene" sections, but we also have the opportunity to shoot Riviera's special sections. Here are a few images we did for the Burger Challenge where people can vote for their favorite burger:

To create these images, we used available window lighting with a white card to balance the light and fill the shadows.  We used a Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens on a Canon EOS 1ds Mark III to capture the images.  The 100mm is a must have lens for this type of work.  Here are a couple of behind the scenes shots that show how the photos were created:

[ Under the Sea ]

[ Under the Sea ] Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Even when we're not on assignment, we try to stay sharp by giving ourselves photographic challenges.  On a recent trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the challenge was to simply capture images that showed the beauty of this under water world.  Going in it was pretty obvious that the primary obstacle would be the glass tanks. One way to avoid the ugly reflections when taking pictures through glass is to use a Polarizing filter.  The problem with using one however is that it lets less light into the camera which is not good for low light photography indoors, especially with no tripod and moving subjects.  The better solution is to place the lens directly against the glass and avoid using a flash.  With beautiful available light and amazing colors, we attached a 24-70 f/2.8 macro lens to a Canon 1Ds Mark III and shot away.  Here are the images:

[ Norman & Adriana Wedding ]

[ Norman & Adriana ] San Gabriel Valley Wedding by Mora Photography -

We would like to thank Norman and Adriana for allowing us to capture their beautiful wedding last month at the Brookside Equestrian in Walnut, CA! These two are such a joy to be around and we had a great time photographing their love for one another. It was neat to see so many unique details within the ceremony and reception. It was also a blessing to see so many pictures from our engagement session used as decor for their reception. Everything turned out very nice, congratulations on an awesome day!
